The 18cm long blade of the Santoku Knife is perfect for Vegetables, Meat and various Jobs around the kitchen. Nigara Hamono is a living legend within Japanese Knifemaking circles, originally from a Samurai sword-making clan, the Niagara Hamono bloodline can be traced back about 400 years or 8 generations to be exact. Having been a legendary swordsmith the skills have been transferred across the years and now you can find all that experience within the knives Nigara Hamono forges. The knives come in beautiful grey presentation boxes with silver foil embroidered brand logo’s. The blade has an SG2 core, which is clad in stainless steel giving it longevity in terms of performance but balances edge retention and durability. The handle is a beautiful custom western shape, It is a full tang blade with a blue resin handle held in place by two mosaic pins. The blade is finished in a beautiful Kurouchi Tsuchime finish which is hand-hammered to create a unique pattern on every piece making them essentially a piece of artwork with an exquisite cutting edge that is subtly visible under the stainless steel cladding.
